National Science Bowl
Since 2018 I have volunteered with the National Science Bowl competition for middle school and high school students. Thousands of students participate in the competition each year, and winners in each region attend a national event in Washington, DC.
I am also a question writer and editor for the physics portion of the competition. I have written and edited thousands of questions at all levels since 2019.
Prison Teaching Initiative
While at Princeton, I’ve worked with the Prison Teaching Initiative. I taught basic math courses in New Jersey state prisons, to students of a wide variety of ages and backgrounds. I also helped develop the first computer science course offered through this program, and was part of the teaching team for its inaugural run.
Community Outreach
Through the EDI group in Princeton’s Department of Physics, and through Science Outreach at Princeton, I have volunteered at local science fairs and library events. I have also visited classrooms around the world through the “Zoom a Princeton Physicist” program to talk about physics research.
